Dual Diagnosis Services
Women's Trauma Program
At Casa Serena, we believe that in order to recover from the deep trauma which often lies beneath substance use and mental health disorders, you must feel completely safe and comfortable. This is why we offer a recovery space that is absent of a mixed population to better support your journey toward a new life.
Addiction treatment has not always provided for the unique needs of women seeking help overcoming substance abuse problems. For years, the addiction treatment environment offered mixed-gender treatment settings, which are not always conducive to comfort or feelings of safety for all participants. Fortunately, female (sometimes referred to as women-only or gender-specific) addiction treatment has evolved over the last few decades to understand the root causes of female addiction better. Today, treatment is holistic, focusing on the person rather than the addiction.
